My security software is blocking my races – what do I do?

Sometimes, your security software such your antivirus could be preventing your races to run, this will vary depending on the computer’s security configuration. Please be assured that your Antivirus is up-to-date and working properly.

Sometimes, your security software such your antivirus could be preventing your races to run, this will vary depending on the computer’s security configuration.

Please be assured that your Antivirus is up-to-date and working properly.

If your Antivirus is up-to-date and your races are still being blocked, you can try these instructions to add our web player program to your antivirus exclusions. If you are using McAfee or Norton Antivirus please follow the next steps:

Using McAfee Antivirus:

  1. Click Start, Programs, McAfee, VirusScan Console.
  2. Right-click On-Access Scanner and select Properties.
  3. Click All Processes, Detection, Exclusions….
  4. Click the “Add” button and navigate to C:\Users\user_name\appdata\LocalLow\Unity and add the “WebPlayer” folder.
  5. Click the “Apply” button at the bottom of the window and then the “OK” button.

 

Using Norton Antivirus:

  1. Open Norton AntiVirus and click on the Settings link next to .the “Computer “category.
  2. Under the “Exclusions/Low Risks” category, click the “Configure” link next to Scan Exclusions
  3. Click the “Add” button and navigate to C:\Users\user_name\appdata\LocalLow\Unity and add the “WebPlayer” folder.
  4. Click the “Apply” button at the bottom of the window and then the “OK” button.

 

Using Avast Antivirus:

  1. Open Avast AntiVirus and click on “Real-Time Shields” category, from the main menu at the left.
  2. Select “File System Shield” in the submenu and click on the “Expert Settings” button.
  3. Once the “File System Shields Settings” window appears, please select “Exclusions” category
  4. Click the “Add” button and then please click on “Browse” button and navigate to C:\Users\user_name\appdata\LocalLow\Unity and add the “WebPlayer” folder using the check box.
  5. Click the “OK” button at the bottom of the window to add the exclusions and then the “OK” button to apply the changes.
